On March 15, the Ides of March, as I wrote earlier in this blog, we found our uncle, Gene Nagurney, who would have turned 87 on March 27, 2010, deceased in his home in Jessup, PA. Rather than a birthday celebration, his funeral took place yesterday and relatives came from PA, MA, CA, VA, and NJ. Gene Nagurney was one of nine children and was a decorated WW II Veteran.Above is a family portrait taken at his parents' 25th wedding anniversary in 1932. Uncle Gene is in the front row on the left. One of the original nine children is still alive.
