The Deerfield Academy graduation that took place today in Deerfield, Massachusetts was stunning -- with glorious sunny weather, a mild breeze, and the happy graduates, their families, friends, and teachers, plus the rest of the school in attendance.Given all that is happening in the world, it is nice when there is good news and what could be better news than having students who have worked very hard reach another milestone -- that of their high school graduation. Now new adventures await them as they embark on their college careers but they will never forget the lessons learned, the challenges faced, and the eternal friendships made while at Deerfield Academy.
Several of my colleagues' children have graduated from Deerfield and now my daughter is a student there, having graduated from The Bement School last year. An excellent education is one of the most important gifts that one can receive (besides good health) so I thank the teachers and the educational institutions that make the realization of dreams possible.
